Phoebe + Dan's Winter Wedding at Stan Mansion | Logan Square, Chicago.

It was all the smiles and laughter from this adorable duo at their late-December wedding at historic Stan Mansion in Logan Square. You'd never know it was a mere five degrees outside, because the warmth and love between these two and their family and friends was tangible.

Personal touches graced the day throughout...a heirloom jewelry piece for Phoebe's hair, a gorgeous bridal gown handmade by her mother, and amazing cake and desserts by her pastry chef/maid-of-honor/sister, Whitney Brien.  Day flowed into an intimate evening ceremony and reception, and after those beautiful desserts and first dances, the dance floor came alive to the sounds of the Matt Stedman Band + Ring of Music Orchestra.  Hats off to all the creatives who made Phoebe and Dan's day extra special (full vendor list below), and a personal special thanks to Emma Mullins for being a fantastic second photographer on the day.

Congratulations, Phoebe + Dan! xx   |  Sheri

Kari + Tyler's Autumn Wedding | Lodi + Merrimac, Wisconsin

A 90% forecast of rain was no match for this adorable bride and groom, who dodged raindrops — and yes, even area tornado warnings!  — on their wedding day.  And dodge raindrops they did, so very gracefully, just as if it was all part of the plan. A few light sprinkles added to the cozy feeling of the day, and Kari and Tyler’s easy-going personalities and all-around relaxed way made for a lovely day with family and friends.

There were so many sweet and surprising moments from their wedding and reception, but my favorite part of their day had to have been hitching a free ride on the Merrimac Ferry to get from their ceremony in Lodi, Wisconsin to their reception at Devil’s Head Resort.  The skies cleared for a brief minute while we crossed the picturesque Wisconsin River, but not before the newlyweds and wedding party had time to enjoy waffle cones at The Merrimac Scoop. Pure joy!

Special thanks to my second photographer, Janae of Westrum Photographs, for being a fantastic help throughout the day. A complete vendor listing can be found at the bottom of this post.

And thank you, Kari + Tyler, for choosing me to document your wedding day. I wish you nothing but happiness and sunshine as you venture into your new life together!   |   Sheri
